Tickets are reasonable.

Tickets for all shows are $10.00 for all people to all screenings. You can buy your tickets at our Box Office and online at this website, www.TryonTheatre.com. Tickets purchased online incur a small booking fee to cover the credit card and online charges we incur. You can also purchase your tickets at other online outlets, including Fandango, Atom Tickets and others but they usually charge you a higher booking fee.  

When purchasing your tickets make certain you triple-check the movie, time, date and number of people in your party. We don't refund tickets but we can exchange your ticket for another showtime of the same movie ... if there are any. 
 
The Box Office and theatre open a half hour before screenings. If you have any questions, please feel free to call and leave a message at 828-859-6811 or, if you'd like a quicker response, send an email to info@TryonTheatre.com.

Concessions are a must.

Of course you have to start with our popcorn at a fair price - $5 for a medium and $6 for a large bucket. And then how about some of the classic theatre candies on offer? Think Goobers, Raisinets, Twizzlers, Junior Mints, Sour Patch Kids, Gummie Bears, Milk Duds, the list just keep going. And to wash it all down, there's a wide selection of beer, wine, seltzers, fountain drinks, waters, etc. 

It's the 21st century so we accept cash and credit cards.

Rentals and Events are fun.

We do rent out the theatre for film parties, business events, fundraisers or whatever you need a theatre for (within reason, of course). Every event is unique so send an email to info@tryontheatre.com with your thoughts and we'll get back to you with ours.

We've been in continuous operation since 1938.

The Tryon Theatre is an independently owned and operated movie cinema located in Historic Downtown Tryon, NC. After the previous theatre burned in the mid-1930s, the current version of the Tryon Theatre with its new balcony opened in 1938 and hasn't looked back since then. It was completely renovated in 2017 with new ownerse, all new seating, state-of-the-art sound and projection, big screen, accessible restrooms, nice lighting ... well, pretty much everything.
